The tuneable red/yellow/green laser on MOFLO 2 is not working. Only the blue 488 and UV lasers are available. *** We will be revamping MoFlo 2 and installing BRAND NEW LASERS on the MoFlo the week of Sept. 12th!!!*** I know this has been long awaited!

Come say goodbye to Sarlah and wish her well. Her last day will be August 31st. Kim will be juggling the instruments (doing sorts and analysis) until a replacement is hired. Please contact the lab with any questions regarding available Analysis Time on the Scan, LSRII and/or Fortessa as we are always happy to assist. Thanks!

New Instrument Addition

Announcing the new LSRFortessa, a 4 laser analyzer fitted with the yellow-green laser, capable of ten color simultaneous detection. The instrument will be available to self-run users Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and will be available for assisted analysis Tuesday and Thursday. Please do not hesitate to sign up for training!

Sample Drop-Off Program Resuming

Effective December 28th, 2010 our sample drop-off program will now be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please be aware that this program is for analysis only, and that samples dropped off at any other time will not be accepted. Thank you!

After Hours Self-Run Sorting

Self-run sorting is now available on our FACSAria and the FACSorp. Sign up for training classes and you will be able to sort on your own after 5pm and on weekends. Self-run sorting allows researchers the ability to sort on their own time and at a reduced price. Please contact Mark Curry (mark_curry@dfci.harvard.edu) to begin your training today!

Self Run Training Information

We offer self run training for all of our customers on the Luminex, LSR II, LSRFortessa, FACSAria / Aria SORP and the FACScan. Self run users enjoy many benefits including 24/7 access to the facility, lower FACScan rates, and a better understanding of their experiments through flow cytometry.
